Crocodile-men, a mystical river, the funeral rite of the Novenario… All these elements constitute strange beliefs on the same territory : Bojaya in Colombia. Juanita Onzaga observes the inhabitants’ practices, myths and rituals in a region that has been very much affected by war and massacres.

LENDEMAINS INCERTAINS

Screening followed by a Q&A with the director

 Belgian competition > Première belge

June 2015. In Burundi, demonstrations against Pierre Nkurunziza’s third term of office bring thousands of people to the streets of Bujumbura. Eddy Munyaneza films the demonstrations, the first abuses and victims. On both sides of the border, he meets those who have remained in Burundi or have chosen the path of exile. Their stories, often fragmentary and brutal, reflect a great deal of uncertainty.
